It's Your Day To Celebrate

Hi Everyone

This is My Favorite Things Dienamic Die 'Fresh Cut Flowers' which they bought out late last year.

This die set has a lot of little pieces and comes one a magnet sheet to keep them together.

So, now for my card, starting with a Bazzill Guacamole square card, I added layers of Sweetheart, Kraft and Creampuff which I had stamped Stampendous' Floral Tapestry with an Archival Coffee ink pad.

I then cut a die from Nestabilities Die - Label 16 (S4301) from Kraft card and also stamped the Floral Tapestry on it.  I then added words from Hero Arts set CG611.

Next, we need to start on the flowers, this set has so many possibilities, bunch of roses, bunch daisies, gerberas, mixes and so much more.  It's really fun to play with.

I cut the stems and leaves from the Bazzill Guacamole card and then the flowers from Sweetheart, Petunia and Creampuff.  I grouped the stems together and tied a little twine around them and adhered them to the card with Glossy Accents.

At the top of each of the stems, I added a flower head and a couple of extra leaves where needed.

Lastly, I covered the Creampuff centres with Glossy Accents and tipped Distress Dry Glitter in the colour 'Clear Rock Candy' on top and allowed to dry.

Hi Everyone

Here is Cheryl's second calendar page for this year - November 2014.

Starting with a base of Beetle Black, Cheryl layered with Stardream Gold, Lily White and more Beetle Black.

Cheryl created the flower layers by blending Distress Ink Pads - Ripe Persimmon and Wild Honey over white card  and then stamped Stampers Anonymous Papillion (CMS106) stamp set using Versamark and dusting Perfect Pearls Sunflower over the top.

Cheryl then stamped the flowers (Hero Arts Wildflower Garden - CG170) with an Archival Jet Black ink pad.

Prima Dolls

Hi Everyone

Our new Prima Dolls have been really popular and I wanted to share some ideas with you.

Here I have used 'Doll with Swing Dress' and stamped her on HP Colour LaserJet paper and then again onto Kaisercraft Miss Match paper for the skirt.

I coloured the Doll with Copic Markers E00, E11, E43, E47 and E49.  On the skirt, I added shadow to the folds in the skirt using Copic Marker YG91 and YG95.

The card base is Bazzill Lizard followed by Walnut and Creampuff.  I stamped the Hero Arts Looped Flower on the right with Distress Ink Pad - Peeled Paint.  On a scrap of Creampuff, I stamped the Darkroom Door Buttons background stamp and adhered it to the card.

I coloured thin satin ribbon with Distress Paint - Peeled Paint and Dried Marigold and tied it around the left.

Yum, Yum, Yum

Hi Everyone

This stamp has been calling out to me for some time - funnily enough, it's been saying 'Eat Me, Eat Me' but given it's a rubber stamp, I'm not really feeling that hungry, thanks anyway!! (LOL).

This card is made with the lovely Cupcakes stamp (F16009) from Impression Obsession and the words are from Hero Arts (CL489) Yummy Treats.

My card base is Bazzill Pinecone followed by Petunia and Sandbox Dotted Swiss.  I cut a MFT- Dienamics Decorative Doily from Lily White card and then circles from Petunia and Lily White again.

I then stamped 2 images of the Cupcakes stamp onto HP Colour Laser Jet paper (200gsm) using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

I coloured the image with Copic Markers E41, E43, E47, E49, R81, R83, R85, R05, R27, Y21 and YR23.  Once image was cut out and adhere to the front of the card.  The second image is just for the 2 cupcakes that were mounted up with mounting tape.

The words were stamped using an Archival Jet Black ink pad on the Sandbox card and the adhered to Petunia card.

You'll find this create stamp, and other's by Impression Obsession on our website.  Here's the link to the Cupcakes stamp - http://michellescardsandstamps.com.au/products-page/impression-obsession/f16009-cupcakes/

Cottage Rose

Hi Everyone

Today is my last Stampendous Jumbo card - well, at least for this week.

Today's stamp is the Cottage Rose Jumbo Stamp CRS5034 is gorgeous.

My card base is Bazzill Leapfrog and then layered with Pomegranate, Creampuff and lastly Fawn Card.

On the Fawn Card, I stamped the Hero Arts Looped Flower stamp with Versamark and embossed it with Pearl Gold embossing powder.  I then blended around the edges with Distress Ink pad - Brushed Corduroy.

The tab at the top is Fawn card, edged with a little Peeled Paint Distress Ink pad and stamped with the words from Penny Black's Special Wishes stamp set 30-229.

For the Cottage Rose, I stamped two images on HP Colour Laser Jet paper using Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured the main image with Copic Markers R20, R22, R14, R29, YG63, YG67, E15 and E37.  I used a craft knife for the delicate cutting and then scissors for the rest and then adhered it to the front of the card.

On the second image, we are only using the main flower, so I coloured it with the Copic Markers, cut out the flower and mounted it with mounting tape.

I think this is my favourite card this month - I hope you like it.

Botanical Notes (again)

Hi Everyone

I really love this stamp and my playing over the weekend included a watercolour version.

The main image is Penny Black Botanical Notes Slapstick/Cling stamp 40-276 which I stamped on Watercolour paper (I use 300gsm) using an Archival Ink pad.

I then stamped the background with Darkroom Door's French Script Background stamp using
Wild Honey Distress Ink Pad.

Now, time to start colouring, around the image I squiggled Mowed Lawn Distress Marker and faded the colour out using a water brush.

The leaves of the flowers are coloured with Forest Moss and Peeled Paint Distress Markers and a little water added to dilute the colour.  The seal was coloured with Squeezed Lemonade and diluted with water.

The Butterfly is 2 layers and was coloured with Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade.

The flowers were coloured with Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry which I added a little colour to, so that the outer parts of the petals were lighter.  The petals are 2 additional layers on top of the base card.

The base card is Bazzill Creampuff and then a layer of Heidi and Velvet.  On the Velvet card, I stamped Darkroom Door's Damask Background stamp and embossed with Silver embossing powder.  The words were stamped on Heidi and the words are from Hero Arts CL611 Many Birthday Message, embossed with Silver embossing powder.

With a little ribbon, this card is finished.

You Make Me Smile

Hi Everyone

It's me again.

I've been playing again with the Penny Black Dahlia's stamp set (30-159) and created this card.

Starting with a Bazzill Leapfrog card, I layered with Lily White, Kisses and Sandbox.

On the Kisses card, I stamped the words 'You make me smile' from the Hero Arts - Made with Love stamp set (CL491) using an Archival Jet Black ink pad.

On some HP Colour LaserJet paper, stamp 3 small Dahlia's using a Memento ink pad and colour with Copic Markers G21, G24, G28, RV69, R37 and R32.

Friends Always

Hi Everyone

It's time to dust off some of my favourite Penny Black stamps and give then a new lease on life.

This is Penny Black's - Butterfly Suite stamp which I stamped on HP Colour LaserJet Paper.  The music in the background has Distress Ink Pads Faded Jeans and Scattered Straw blended over it.  I then stamped it again on the Creampuff card and coloured the leaves and stem with Copic Markers YG63 and YG67.

On another piece of HP Colour LaserJet paper and coloured the butterflies with B32 and V06 on the edge.  I started flicking the B32 from the centre of the butterfly and then V06 from the outer edge.  This will create a new colour in the centre.  I then added some E37 in the centre and after adhering them to the card, applied Glossy Accents to highlight them.

On the last piece of HP Colour LaserJet paper, stamp the Mum's The Word again and coloured each flower individually.  I started with Copic Marker B32 in the centre and then added some B18 to add depth.  Around the edges of each flower, I coloured V06.  I then mounted this flower and adhered it to the front of the card.

The card is made up of Bazzill Typhoon, Creampuff and Burgundy card.  On the last piece of Creampuff, I blended Distress Ink Pad - Wild Honey and then stamped Darkroom Door's French Script to add texture.

On the lower left, I added a postmark from Hero Arts - Untitled Postmark (AC001) and coloured it with the same Copic Markers.

Lastly and after the card is fully assembled, apply Glossy Accents to the centre of the butterflies and the centre of the flower on the Untitled Postmark and then using Viva Décor Pearl Pen - Gold, apply little dots to the centres of the flowers.  It looks gorgeous when this has been done.

Have a great day

Mum's The Word

Hi Everyone

Here's a really easy card design, which can be made for any occasion.  Starting with Bazzill Leapfrog, I then added Creampuff and then Flamingo.

On the Creampuff cards, I stamped Hero Arts Looped Flower (CG504) using Distress Ink Pad - Wild Honey.  After layered with Pinecone, I added the last layers of Creampuff, one with Looped Flower stamped on it and the other with Happy Birthday from Hero Arts - Birthday Sayings (CL340).

On some HP Colour LaserJet paper, I stamped Penny Black 'Mum's The Word' (4234K) using a Memento Ink Pad and coloured with Copic Markers - YG63, YG67, G99, E15, YR23, Y21, R05 and R29.  I cut out the flower and added it to the Creampuff card.

Thinking of You

Hi Everyone

I have had some time to play with Penny Black's Petal Party stamp set (30-113) which I haven't had a chance to do before.

Here I have used one of the images from the stamp set, but had to give it a little 'plastic surgery' first.  I wanted the flower to curve around to the left a little and so I trimmed some for the backing from it so I could make the bend.

The main image is stamped on Watercolour paper with Archival Jet Black and coloured with Distress Markers - Seedless Preserves, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint and Ripe Persimmon and blended with a waterbrush.

To add some shadow, I around the lower part of the image with Old Paper and blended out with a waterbrush.  I then stamped 'Thinking Of You' from the Hero Arts - Made with Love stamp set CL491. To finish the image, I stamped the Darkroom Door French Script with a Distress Ink Pad in Old Paper and then blended around the edges.

The card is Bazzill Pansy and then Creampuff.  The green paper is a scrap of Kaisercraft papers and the purple was blended over with Distress Ink Pad - Dusty Concord and then the French Script was stamped over it again.

Calendar Project 2013 - March

Hi Everyone
The 1st of March is here and is very exciting for us.  Today the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo starts in Melbourne and we are set and ready to go.

Today also continues our 2013 Calendar project and is the last of Jennifer's pages.

Jennifer loves Steampunk as a theme and I love this page.  Using a Steampunk theme background paper, Jennifer accented the page with gears, balloon, clock parts and the Hero Arts Newspaper Skyline (S5573).

Classic Tea Flower

Hi Everyone

Our bags are packed and we're off to Melbourne.

Here's a card I wanted to share using Hero Arts Classic Tea Flower (H5577), Darkroom Door's background stamps - Floral and French Script and Stampers Anonymous - Simple Sayings (CMS155).

I cut the tag from Dienamics Traditional Tag Stax and the border from Heartfelt Creations - Decorative Blossom Corner (HCD729).

On the Pear card, I stamped the Darkroom Door Floral stamp using Distress Ink Pad Bundled Sage.  On the Creampuff tag, I stamped the Tea Flower using an Archival Jet Black ink pad and then made a mask of the flower and then stamped the French Script using Distress Ink Pad - Old Paper.  I smudged the edges (and the script a little - oops, but I liked the effect) and then coloured the flower with Distress Markers Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Barn Door, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint and created shadows using Old Paper.

The Decorative Blossom Corner was cut from Bazzill Walnut and adhere to the front of the card using glue.

I added some ribbon and twine to the top of the tag and adhered the front to a Creampuff card.

Happy Stamping
