Calendar Project - December 2017

Hi Everyone

December has arrived and its time for another calendar page.

This months page features Penny Black's cling stamp - Red Sparkle (40-481).  Now I have to admit, I did give this stamp a little 'plastic surgery' and removed the small branch on the top left of the image, keeping just the main flower, leaves and stems.

This page features Bazzill Ivy, Guacamole, Kaisercraft Burgundy and Canson Watercolour card.

I stamped the flowers using Archival Jet Black ink pad onto the Canson Watercolour card.  I coloured around the edge of the flowers and leaves with Distress Markers - Pumice Stone and blended out with a water brush.  I then coloured the flowers with Distress Markers Aged Mahogany, Festive Berries, Forest Moss, Bundled Sage, Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge.

I then blended around the edges with a Wild Honey Distress Ink Pad and then added Distress Micro Glaze on top so that the colouring doesn't fade.

We hope you have a great December and look forward to seeing you soon.

Happy Stamping

October 2017 Calendar Project

Hi Everyone

We are currently on our way back from the US and are currently somewhere over the Pacific Ocean.... but, we prepared our October calendar page a little earlier and here it is.

We loved the background from the Astronaut card in our August class and have repeated it here by blending Distress Oxide - Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot over the card.  We then flicked watered down clear Perfect Pearls over the page with a Tim Holtz Splatter Brush and allowed it to dry.  We then mounted it on orange, purple and black card.

The stamp set is from My Favorite Things - Witch Way Candy? stamp set and coloured with Copic Markers E00, E11, R20, V12, V15, V17, YG61, YG63, YG67, E31, E35, E37, E59, YR02, YR68, YR12, C3, C5, C7 and 100.

I added a fence from Magnolia Heart Fence cut in light gray and blended Distress Hickory Smoke ink pad over it to add some texture.

When the page was finished, I added the word 'October' which I had coloured with Carved Pumpkin (perfectly named for this page) Distress Paint.

Happy Stamping and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Calendar Project: September 2017

Hi Everyone

Good morning SPRING!!!  Now, take that cool weather away and may everyone get over their colds and flu quick.

For my September calendar, I have used My Favorite Things - Fancy Flowers stamp set which I stamped all over the page using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

Now for the colouring, I have to admit, I really enjoyed these images as they are simple lines, yet you can have fun with different colour combinations and shading.

When colouring, I started by colouring the outside of the images, I used BG01 and then BG000.  I didn't colour the whole page, just around the images.  The leaves were coloured with YG61, YG63 and YG67.  For the flowers, I used Y21, YR24, YR68, RV52, RV55, V22, V25, V27, BG13 and BG49.

After layered the card up on Kaisercraft card and added the word 'September' from Scrapmatts, coloured with Broken China Distress Paint.

Hope you like our calendar page and have a wonderful September.

Happy Stamping

Calendar Project - August 2017

Hi Everyone

August is here, our last month of Winter and normally in Brisbane full of Ekka winds, although our weather of late has been perfect.

The first of the month is also our opportunity to show off our calendar page and here is our August page.

Using Art Impressions - Latte Love Set, I've created a Coffee Lovers page.

Starting with a base of Bazzill Dotted Swiss - Rope Swing, I added Mocha Divine and Mud Puddle.

On the Mud Puddle paper, I stamped the words Mocha, Java and Latte using Tim Holtz Worn Text stamp set (CMS156) using an Archival Coffee (how fitting, LOL) stamp pad.

The ladies from Latte Love were stamped on Colour Copy (200gsm) paper and coloured with Copic Markers E00, E11, E40, E41, E43, E47, E31, E35, E37, Y21, YR24, YG61, YG63, YG67, R83, R56, R39, V22, V25 and V28.  I halo cut the ladies and added them to the page.

The words are also from the Latte Love stamp set, making it perfect for anyone who loves coffee.

Hoping you have a wonderful August.

Calendar Project: June 2017

Hi Everyone

Happy 1st June!!  I can't believe winter has arrived - bring back the warmer weather.

With the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo nearly a week away, I thought this was a great opportunity to use my Art Impressions - Crafty Girls Set (4890).

This calendar page starts with a base of Bazzill Typhoon and layered up with Petunia and Colour Copy 200gsm paper.

The word 'June' is from Scrapmatts which I coloured with Chipped Sapphire Distress Paint.

Around the background of the Colour Copy paper, I blended a little Antique Linen Distress Paint and then stamped the ladies using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

Now it's time to colour and of course I used my Copic Markers - E00, E11, R20, R81, R83, R85, RV69, B93, B95, B97, B99, E31, E35, E37, E40, E43, E47, E49, Y21, YR12, V22, V25 and V28.

Lastly I stamped around the background with the Darkroom Door Flourish Texture Stamp using the Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink Pad, filling in the background.

This stamp set has 3 different words to go with it, but I found it cluttered the calendar page when I used them - next time....

Hoping you have a wonderful June.

2012 Calender Project - August

Hi Everyone

Here's my contribution to our Calender project for 2012 - my August page.

I have started with the Darkroom Door Garden Greetings Daffodil and stamped it using Memento Cantaloupe ink pad.

Next I coloured with Copic Pen YR16, YR23, Y15, Y11, Y00, G94 and G24.  I have layered on Bazzill Creampuff, Ivy and Sunbeam and cut the letters 'AUGUST' from my Cricuit.

As August is the Cancer Council Daffodil Day, I have attached a pin that I purchased from last years Daffodil Day.

Happy Stamping and don't forget to donate on Daffodil Day.

Calender Project - February

Hi Everyone

Our Stamping Cruise is on it's final day, I can't believe the 12 days have gone so fast.  I have heaps to share over the coming weeks and will also be organising some new classes from what I have designed and learnt in the classes.

It's Linda's turn again to design our calender project.  Linda has used some speciality papers, Cuttlebug embossing folders and die cuts to create this Valentine themed page.

Calender Project - January

Hi Everyone

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend, I personally will be heading back to work tomorrow (already???).  I had a quiet new years and got hit by some creative energy around 10pm so you'll see the outcome of this over the next couple of days.

Each year my friends Cheryl, Jennifer, Linda and myself make a calendar and we each have 3 months of the year to do.  This year, we are using the Kaisercraft Calendar timber product and decorating the pages.

Anyone who comes into the studio see the pages, but for those people who only get to see us via cyber land or at shows, I thought you might like to see them here so each month.

This month - obviously is January and was created by Linda.  Linda's theme is summer and of course ice cream comes to mind.  Linda created the ice cream using the My Favorite Things Dienamic - Cloud set, a triangle of card scored to look like a waffle and a Kaisercraft Sparklet to top.

Happy Stamping

Michelle
