Celebrating You

 Hi Crafty Friends

In our February class we featured Spellbinders Moroccan Kaleidoscope Slimline die and I have continued to play with it after the class.

This card starts with a base of Bazzill Guacamole, Creampuff and Amber.

I die cut 6 sets of Moroccan Kaleidoscopes using Chiffon, Amber and Lily White.  I then added them to the card as shown.

I then die cut 3 flowers and 4 Leaves from Spellbinders Mini Blooms and Sprigs from Amber, Chiffon, Java and Guacamole card.  I added them to the card using mounting tape and the words 'Celebrating You' from Spellbinders - Make A Scene Sentiments (stamp set).

There are so many possibilities with these stamp sets, I know I'll be using them a lot more.

A Friend For Life

Hi Everyone

In this month's class, we used a new Spellbinders die set - A2 Corner Cotillion (S5-364) and wanted to have a further play with it.

On this card, I started with a base of Bazzill Dusty Pink and added Lily White.

I then die cut the Corner Cotillion from Gold Foil card and trimmed it down to fit on the card.

I then die cut the flowers from the Dusty Pink and Lily White card.

I used a Stylus and Rubber Mat to shape the petals and layered up the flowers with glue between each layer.

I then used Aged Brass Wax on the outer edges of the petals to highlight the tips.

I then cut out 6 flowers from Bazzill Pear and blended Peeled Paint and Pine Needles to one end.

On the outer edges of the Leaves, I smudges a little Aged Brass Wax on the edges to highlight them.

Using the Oval in the die set, I cut this from Lily White.

From Penny Black's set - Edge to Edge (30-164), I took the stamp 'You are a friend for life' and cut it up so that I could use it in 3 lines.

I then stamped the words using Versamark and embossed it with Gold Embossing powder.  Once melted, I adhered the oval to the centre of the card.

I then adhered the 3 flowers to the top of the card using glue and then added the leaves around the background.

Lastly, I added Glossy Accents to the centre of the flowers and then filled it with Prills - 'A Penny Saved' and allowed them to dry.  I then tipped off the excess Prills and put them back in the jar.

Hope you have a great day.

Just For You v2

Hi Everyone

I said recently to keep watching the blog where I would post the 'Just For You' card which will include the words and here it is.

This card starts with a base of Bazzill Smoky, followed by Lily White and Kaisercraft paper.

I added a frame cut from Spellbinders die set Hemstitch Rectangles (S5-308) and inside, on Lily White, stamped 'Just For You' using a Versamark ink pad and embossed it with Silver embossing powder.

Now to stamp the flowers.  One of Altenew's ink pad sets that gets overlooked is the Warm & Cozy ink colours.  I'm not the greatest fan of orange, as they can sometimes be too bright or look like they have been coloured with fluorescent highlighers, but this range of colours has a real warmth to them and I really like the colours.

I stamped the leaves using the Green Fields ink pad colours and the Flower with the Warm & Cozy ink pad colours.

I adhered all of the layers of the card together and lastly added the Flower to the right with mounting tape.

Hope you like the card.

Just For You

Hi Everyone

Altenew's Just For You stamp set features large Roses and the words 'Just For You'.  It's a great set as the flowers are easy to line-up and the words 'Just For You' can be used for so many different occasions (except I didn't use them on this card - LOL - but keep watching the blog).

This card starts with a base of Bazzill Guacamole, followed by Ivy and Lily White card.  On the Lily White card, I covered the back with double-sided tape and die cut Spellbinders die set - Emmeline Treillage S5-311.  I then attached all of the pieces to the Ivy card.  (I did plan to design this card for a class, but thought we might not see anyone the following month)

I then die cut the Open Scallop Border from My Favourite Things from Fawn card and the word 'Celebrate' from Tim Holtz / Sizzix set 661807 - Sentiment Words from Guacamole card and backed it with Ivy card,

Onto the flowers.  I stamped the leaves with Altenew ink pad set - Green Fields and the flowers with the Rose Petals ink pad set.  I then die cut them with the matching die set (or you can hand cut, they are not hard images to cut).

The leaves are adhered to the card using glue and the flowers are glued together and then adhered to the card with mounting tape.

You will find this stamp set in-store or online - https://michellescardsandstamps.com.au/products-page/altenew/altenew-just-for-you-stamp-set/

The Sizzix set is also available online - https://michellescardsandstamps.com.au/products-page/sizzix-dies-dies/tim-holtz-sizzix-661807-sentiment-words/
