Calendar Project - July

Hi Everyone

July has arrived and so has the cold snap here in Brisbane - brrrrrrrr.

My calendar theme this month is being wrapped up in a quilt and the Artistic Impressions Quilt Set (4544) came to mind.

I had layers of Bazzill Admiral, Fawn, Pinecone and then Jacaranda.  On the Jararanda card, I stamped the Darkroom Door Measuring Tape (DDBS018) background stamp and then distressed all of the edges with a Tonic Distresser.

I cut the quilt from the My Favorite Things Quilt die from Bazzill Fawn, Creampuff and Graphic 45's paper and then adhered them onto another piece of Creampuff.  Next I blended a little Distress Ink Pad - Brushed Corduroy around the edges.

It's time to stamp the Artistic Impressions ladies and coloured them with Copic Markers E00, E11, R20, R81, E41, E47, E49, E31, E35, Y21, B93, B95, B97 and B99.

Hope you like our July calendar.

Favourite Perk

Hi Everyone

Art Impressions are certainly becoming a favourite of mine as the ladies are so familiar and real.

Here I have used Art Impression's - Coffee BFF's 4407 and stamped it on Watercolour Paper using an Archival Jet Black ink pad.  I then coloured the image with Distress markers - Tea Dye, Tattered Rose, Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain, Barn Door, Wild Honey, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Broken China and Peeled Paint.

Once the images have tried, I ran a Broken China Distress Marker around the girls and bled the colour out with a Waterbrush.  I then blended the Walnut Stain ink pad around the edges.

I made the card using Bazzill Dotted Swiss Deep Blue, Bazzill Jacaranda and Dotted Swiss Sandbox and trimmed the card with White Grosgrain.  The words are from the Coffee BFF's stamp set and cut with a Dienamics Fishtail die.

If you are thinking of making this card for a friend, consider inserting a Gloria Jeans/Starbucks gift card inside of satchel of coffee.

Cupcake BFF's

Hi Everyone

The latest release of Art Impressions stamps are so much fun and this stamp set took my fancy.

Here I have used Cupcake BFF's (4409) and I coloured her with Copic Markers - E00, E11, R20, E35, Y21, YR23, R81, R83, R85, BG15, BG34 and BG49.

I layered the card with some Kaisercraft papers and the base card is Lily White with the edges covered in Crystal Stickles.

I used the Diemanics Scallop Die cut from Lily White and covered it with Crystal Stickles and ran it vertically down the card.

The hearts are from Penny Black's new die set - Heart String (51-022) and I also cut it from Lily White and covered it with Crystal Stickles.

I added a Lily White Scallop die which I blended with Distress Ink Pad Squeezed Lemonade and then added the BFF.
