CHA 2016 Recap

Hi Everyone

I had the greatest of intentions of every night logging onto my computer and giving you an update of our findings from CHA but unfortunately time got away from us and thanks to 'El Nino' hitting on the 2 days we were at Disneyland, we needed to get as much Disney-time as possible at night.

We are now safely home, busy unpacking, washing and sorting through catalogues, samples and class kits.

Here's a little recap of our time at CHA 2016.

2016 was the 75th CHA conference and I loved out the front of the show they had a display of photos from the conference back as far as the 1940's.  How dress styles have changed!!!  It was jeans, jumper and Sketchers for me, far from the dress standards in the 1940's.

The conference started on Thursday with 2 days of education.  Robyn and I were in different classes which included classes by Ranger, Spellbinders, Sizzix and Faber Castell, just to name a few.

The class I was really looking forward to was Tim Holtz's class, and he didn't disappoint.  We arrived to find a group of supplies including things we hadn't seen before and couldn't wait to get started.

It was a fast paced class as there were plenty of opportunities for people to get stuck making decisions about what picture to use and where to put it.  Tim kept the class moving well as we had a lot to do in 2 hours.

Here's my finished piece!!  It's a Ranger frame using Ideaology papers, 'Found Relatives' cards, Ephemera pack, Mini Stencil, Collage Medium (crazing), Distress Paints, Distress Crayons, Letterpress Letters and lots of small embellishments.

We have placed lots of orders and stock is starting to ship already from the US, so keep an eye on our website for details of the new arrivals.

Happy Stamping
Michelle & Robyn
