Tim Holtz Beer Blueprint

Hi Everyone

I've been playing with Tim Holtz Beer Blueprint stamp sets (CMS334) and Mini Blueprints (CMS336).

Both cards use Bazzill Typhoon, Jacaranda and Fawn card and the images are stamped on Colour Copy 200gsm card.

For the first card, on the Colour Copy paper, I stamped the Pretzel's from the Mini Blueprints set using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.  I traced around the Blueprint borders using Copic Markers E41 and E43.  I then coloured the Pretzels with Copic Markers E50, E31, E35 and E37.  I also coloured the word Prezel with B93 and B95.

On another piece of Colour Copy card, I stamped the Beer Mug and word 'Beer' from the Blueprints set.  Coloured the Beer Mug with Copic Markers Y21, YR23, E31, E35 and E37.

I then cut the scroll from the Beer stamp and coloured it with E40, E41, E43, B93, B95 and B97.

After cutting out the Beer Mug, I added all of the layers of the card as shown.

For the second card, I trimmed 3.5cm from the edge of the card so that the inside layer could be seen.  On a 4cm wide strip of Colour Copy card and stamped the Blueprint Mini stamps and coloured them with Copic Markers Y21, YR23, E31, E35, E37, B93 and B95.

On the front of the card, I added layers of Jacaranda and Fawn.  On the Fawn card, I stamped the Beer Mini Blueprint using a Coffee Ink Pad and distressed the edges.

I then stamped the Beer Bottle and Beer Mug and coloured them with the same Copic Markers.

After adhering the Beer Bottle and Beer Mug to the card, I added 'Best Wishes' from Tim's Simple Sayings (CMS155) stamp set and layered it on Typhoon card.

Enjoy your day

Cocktail Time

Hi Everyone

In our April class, we included the Beer Blueprint stamp set from Tim Holtz and you may have noticed the theme continuing in May with the Wine stamps.

This is another set from Tim's new release - Cocktail Blueprint (CMS335).

Starting with a base of Bazzill Pomegranate and Beetle Black, I added another layer of Colour Copy 200gsm card which I stamped the 3 images on so that I would have the background drawings from the Blueprint Sketches.

On another set of papers, I stamped the 3 images and coloured them with Copic Markers - R05, R20, R27, R39, R46, YR61, YR68, Y11, Y15, Y17, Y35, Y38, YG63, YG67, YG11, YG09, YG06, G05 and G17.

After cutting out the images and adhering them to the card, I applied Glossy Accents to make the glasses look like - yep, glass!

On the Margarita Glass, I added Glossy Accents to make it look like salt.

Hope you like the card.

Power Poppy - Glisten

Hi Everyone

This stamp set is from the Power Poppy 2016 Christmas release but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to play with it last year.  The stamp set is called 'Glisten' PPOCT1604.

I have created 2 cards, one being the traditional Christmas colours and the other a blue/green card.

For the first card, I started with a base of Bazzill Ivy followed by Pomegranate, Guacamole and a woodgrain Kaisercraft paper.  I added horizontal layers of Guacamole and Creampuff card.

On Colour Copy 200gsm paper, I stamped two sets of the Glisten image stamped with a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.  I coloured the base image in full and the second image is just the top flower.  The images have been coloured with Copic Markers G21, G24, G28, G29, R05, R27, R39, Y21 and YR23.  After adhering them to the card, I added some dark brown twine below the main flower.

On the Woodgrain paper, I stamped Stampers Anonymous CMS209 Handwritten Holidays #2, stamped in Versamark and embossed with WOW Opaque White Embossing Powder.

The second card has a base of Bazzill Lily White followed by Guacamole and Jacaranda card.  On the Jacaranda card, I stamped branches from the Glisten stamp using an Archival French Ultramarine ink pad.

Glisten was stamped on Colour Copy paper with a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and coloured with Copic Markers YG61, YG63, YG67, B00, B02, B05, E41 and Y17.  In the centre of the flowers I added Glacier White Enamel Accents and added some dots of Clear Stickles on top.

The words are from the stamp set and were stamped on Creampuff card.

Power Poppy - Simple Joys

Hi Everyone

This stamp set from Power Poppy is so simple and easy to colour, you can make lots of cards in no time - I can hear you all cheering now.

The set is called 'Simple Sayings' and is code PPOCT1605.

We have two card ideas to show you and will start with the Square card.

Starting with a base of Bazzill Dotted Swiss Phoenix, I added Sandbox, Bazzill Ivy and then some Kaisercraft paper from my craft stash.

I added additional layers of Sandbox, Ivy, Phoenix and finixhed with Colour Copy Paper in 200gsm.

I stamped the 'tree' using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and coloured with Copic Markers C0, C1, C3, C5, G21, G24, G28, Y21, YR23, R27, R39, R17, E43, E47 and E35.  I blended a little Brushed Corduroy around the edges and mounted this above the rest of the card.

I then took the words from the set and stamped them in a Bazzill Creampuff circle.  I blended a little Brushed Corduroy ink around the edges and adhered it to a red scallop circle followed by another Ivy circle.  This is adhered to the top right of the 'tree'.

My next card is the blue landscape card.  I started with a base of Bazzill Dotted Swiss Neptune card and added layers of Lily White, Guacamole and Colour Copy 200gsm paper.

I stamped the 'tree' using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and coloured it with Copic Markers C0, C1, C3, G20, G21, G24, BG01, BG05, BG09, E43, E37, Y21 and YR23.  I added Glossy Accents to the baubles so that they looked a little like glass baubles.

To the right of the image, I stamped the words from Stampers Anonymous - Handwritten Holidays 2 (CMS209) using an Archival Jet Black ink pad and finished the piece by blending a little Tumbled Glass Distress Ink Pads around the edges.

Hope you enjoy these cards.

Deck the Halls

Hi Everyone

It's getting close to the time where we 'Deck the Halls' and this set from Penny Black it great for people who love their Critter range.

I've created these two cards from Penny Black's 'Deck the Halls' (30-317) stamp set.

My first card starts with a base of Ivy and has layer of Creampuff and Red Dot (from Simple Stories paper range), Guacamole and Colour Copy 200gsm paper.

I stamped the cat with Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and coloured with Copic Markers E50, E31, E33, E37, R27, R39, G21, G24, G28 and created a shadow around the image with B00.  I added the words from Darkroom Door's Brushed Christmas Vol 2 (DDRS136) stamped in Archival Vermillion ink pad.

The second card starts with a base of Ivy and then Pomegranate which I stamped Merry Christmas from Darkroom Door's Season's Greetings stamp set (DDRS169) and embossed it with WOW Opaque White Embossing Powder.  For the cats, I took a long piece of Colour Copy 200gsm paper and stamped the trees on it from Stampers Anonymous Tree Link stamp set (CMS244) using an Archival Olive ink pad and blended around the edge with Peeled Paint Distress Ink Pad.  I stamped the cats on this piece of paper using an Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and then again on another piece of paper.  I coloured the cats on the spare piece of paper, cut them out and stuck them to the main image.

This stamp set has lots of options, I hope you like these.

Calendar Project - August 2017

Hi Everyone

August is here, our last month of Winter and normally in Brisbane full of Ekka winds, although our weather of late has been perfect.

The first of the month is also our opportunity to show off our calendar page and here is our August page.

Using Art Impressions - Latte Love Set, I've created a Coffee Lovers page.

Starting with a base of Bazzill Dotted Swiss - Rope Swing, I added Mocha Divine and Mud Puddle.

On the Mud Puddle paper, I stamped the words Mocha, Java and Latte using Tim Holtz Worn Text stamp set (CMS156) using an Archival Coffee (how fitting, LOL) stamp pad.

The ladies from Latte Love were stamped on Colour Copy (200gsm) paper and coloured with Copic Markers E00, E11, E40, E41, E43, E47, E31, E35, E37, Y21, YR24, YG61, YG63, YG67, R83, R56, R39, V22, V25 and V28.  I halo cut the ladies and added them to the page.

The words are also from the Latte Love stamp set, making it perfect for anyone who loves coffee.

Hoping you have a wonderful August.

Calendar Project - June 2016

Hi Everyone

Greetings from our lovely Brisbane Winter that starts today.

My calendar project continues this month with Crazy Cats from the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous range.

I started with a base of Bazzill Typhoon and added layers of Sage and Creampuff.

The background was stenciled with Stampers Anonymous stencil THS002 Bubble with Distress Ink Pads Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon.  I then blended around the edge with Brushed Corduroy.

The letters 'JUNE' are from Sizzix set 660210 which I cut from Typhoon card.

I stamped the Crazy Cats (CMS251) on Watercolour card and blended Antique Linen onto their faces and bellies and then Walnut Stain, Brushed Corduroy or Hickory Smoke onto their bodies and the tops of their heads.

The bird, hat and bow tie are from the Mini Bird Crazy and Things set (CMS250) which I coloured with Mermaid Lagoon, Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron.

Before adhering the images to my page, I rubbed Distress Glaze over the top so they don't fade.

Textured Butterfly

Hi Everyone

I was playing over the weekend with the Distress Ink Colours - Peacock Feathers, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Twisted Citron and came up with this card.

Starting with a base of Bazzill Fawn, I added layers of Beetle Black and Watercolour card.

I covered the Watercolour card with the Distress Ink colours and sealed them with the Distress Glaze (so they don't fade).

I then added some Texture Paste through the Dylusions Bubbles Stencil.

I coloured some white ribbon which I coloured with the Peacock Feathers ink pad around the lower part of the card.

I stamped the Butterfly from the Stampers Anonymous CMS144 Easter Blueprint stamp set on Watercolour card with an Archival Jet Black ink pad.

I coloured around the edge of the image with the same ink pads and blended them together.

I stamped another butterfly and adhered it via the body only to the main image and coloured this image with the matching Distress Markers, adding Ground Espresso to the body.    Once dry, I added some Distress Glaze to prevent fading.  Lastly, I added Glossy Accents to the body of the butterfly and fluffed up the wings.

Crazy Cats have arrived

Hi Everyone

One of our favourite stamp releases at CHA this year was the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous - Crazy Cats.

Following the popularity of the Crazy Birds last year, Tim added Crazy Cats.

Crazy Cats co-ordinate perfectly with the Crazy Birds and also the accessories stamp set - Mini Bird Crazy and Things (CMS250).

You'll find these stamps - along with others from the Tim range on our website -

Scribbly Christmas

Hi Everyone

Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous' new set - Scribbly Tree CMS249 has become my new favourite Christmas stamp set for 2015.  There are so many ideas popping around my head with this stamp set.

We have included a card using this stamp set in our October classes this month, but here's another idea.

The card based used here is Bazzill Walnut and I have stamped the words from the stamp set using an Archival Coffee ink pad.

I've added layers of Bazzill Guacamole and Pomegranate which I have distressed and run through a Coffee ink pad to darken the edges.

On water colour card, I have stamped the Christmas Trees closely together and coloured with Distress Markers - Brushed Corduroy, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint and Wild Honey.

I've stamped 'Merry Christmas' on another piece of Creampuff and layered with Guacamole and added it to the centre of the card.

A simple card, but very effective.

Joy

Hi Everyone

Time to play again with the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous Blueprints set - CMS201 (Christmas Blueprint 4).

This time I used the card colours - Bazzill Ivy, Stardream Antique Gold, Bazill Aloe Vera and Bazzill Pomegranate.

On the Aloe Vera and water colour card, I stamp the Darkroom Door French Script with Forest Moss to create a textured background.

On the Watercolour card, stamp the Poinsettia stamp and trim to fit on the layers of the card.  Blend a little Brushed Corduroy around the edges and then around the edges of the Poinsettia, use a Distress Marker - Peeled Paint and blend out with water.

On the background petals of the Poinsettia, use Aged Mahogany and then stamp a second image and mount up after colouring using the Fired Brick and Festive Berries Distress markers.

Add some colour to the centre of the Poinsettia using Wild Honey Distress Markers and dots from a Pearl Pen.

The Holly is from the My Favorite Things - Dienamics Stocking set and the words 'Joy' from Penny Black's 'Love and Joy' die set 51-021.

Merry

Hi Everyone

It's 1 week today until the Brisbane Craft Fair starts at the Brisbane Convention Centre - let the last minute work begin.  To find out more about the show, go to this web address - http://www.craftfair.com.au/wp/Brisbane/#sthash.XDYfFTf7.dpbs

This card was made using another of the Tim Holtz / Stampers Anonymous Blueprints stamp sets - CMS135 Christmas Blueprint.

I've used the layers - Bazzill Pomegranate, Stardream Antique Gold, Bazzill Guacamole and Bazzill Aloe Vera.  On the Aloe Vera card, I stamped the Darkroom Door Christmas Script DDBS046 and then blended a little Inka Gold around the edges.

On watercolour card, I stamped the Christmas Tree using an Archival Jet Black ink pad.

It's important to us an Archival Ink Pad as it is a waterproof ink and when we blend with water, the ink won't budge.

Trim the card around the tree and blend a little Distress Ink Pad - Brushed Corduroy around the edges.

Around the edges of the tree, blend a little Distress Marker - Festive Berries and blend out with water.

Colour the tree with Distress Markers Forest Moss and Peeled Paint and then the base of the tree with Brushed Corduroy.

After adhering the layers of the card, I added some Glossy Accents to the star on the tree and then added Distress Glitter - Mustard Seed.

The word 'merry' is from the My Favorite Things - Christmas Greetings Dienamics set which I cut from Antique Gold and Pinecone card and off-set slightly.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Craft Fair next week.

Happy Stamping
Michelle

Time to start the Christmas Cards

Hi Everyone

For the early starters, they probably already have their Christmas cards made, but to others like us, it's time to start looking around.

I've been playing with the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Blueprint Christmas stamps and have made a couple to share.

This card was created using a  base of Bazzill Ivy, Stardream Antique Gold and then Bazzill Pomegranate.

I stamped the Ornament from CMS168 Christmas Blueprint 2 on Watercolour card and stamped the Darkroom Door French Script stamp in the background with Forest Moss to create some texture.

Around the outside of the ornament, I coloured some Wild Honey Distress Marker and blended out with some water.  On the base of the Ornament, I coloured some Gathered Twigs and blended out again.

For the Ornament, I coloured the shadows with Forest Moss and Aged Mahogany and blended out to Peeled Paint and Festive Berries, adding accents of Wild Honey.

Trimming to fit on the layers of the card and blend a little Aged Mahogany around the edges.

The word 'Christmas' is from My Favorite Things Dienamics Christmas Greeting set which was cut from Lily White and has a little Ink Gold blended over the lower part of the word.

Like to see lots more ideas - drop by and see us at the Craft Fair at the Brisbane Convention Centre, starting 7th October.  We'll be at stand D15 and look forward to seeing you there.

Happy Stamping

Robot Blueprint

Hi Everyone

Boy themed stamps can be hard to find, but this set of Stampers Anonymous stamps are perfect.

With 4 stamps, you'll be able to make some great cards.

Here's one from me, using the robot from the lower right corner of the set, I stamped him on Canson Watercolour card and coloured around the edges with Distress Ink Pad - Brushed Corduroy.

I coloured the robot and at little around the edges with Distress Markers - Pumice Stone, Fired Brick, Wild Honey and Faded Jeans.

My card base is Bazzill Typhoon and I layered with Creampuff, Pomegranate and Nightmist.  On the Nightmist card, I stamped the Darkroom Doors Cogs Background stamp (DDBS044).

After assembling the card, I added words from the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Handwritten Celebrate die set which I had cut from Pomegranate card.

Mission Complete

By The Way, we're packing this weekend for our Melbourne trip, if there is something specific you are after, please let us know and we'll make sure we have it set aside for you.

Fresh Brewed

Hi Everyone

I've been having a play with the Stampers Anonymous / Tim Holtz Fresh Brewed Blueprint stamp set and created these 2 cards to show you.
The stamp set includes 4 'coffee themed' stamps and here I've used 3.

My first card features the 'take away' coffee cup and beans.  My card base is Bazzill Creampuff and layered with Pinecone, Jacaranda, Guacamole and lastly Canson Watercolour card.

In the background of the watercolour card, I've stamped the Darkroom Door French Script background stamp.  I just felt that it needed something to lift the background, so I stamped it lightly using a Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink Pad.  I also blended a little Brushed Corduroy around the edge.

Now for colouring and out comes my trusty Distress Markers in Gathered Twig, Salty Ocean, Antique Linen and Salty Ocean.  The Coffee Cup on the card is a separate stamped image, adhered on top of the card followed by the Coffee Beans.  The Happy Birthday is from the Darkroom Door Happy Birthday Stamp Set.

My second card is for the lovers of Iced drinks.  I've used the same colours of card, just changed the order around a little.

Like before, I stamped the French Script in the background and coloured with same colours of Distress Markers.  After adhering the drink to the card, I covered the cup in Glossy Accents and allowed it to dry.  Lastly, I stamped the words from the Darkroom Door Happy Birthday stamp set.

These cards are perfect for coffee lovers and perhaps pop a gift card for their favourite coffee shop in the middle.

Ciao
Michelle & Robyn

PS. See you in Melbourne at Paperific, we'll be there!!
