Power Poppy - Go Wild

Hi Everyone

Power Poppy's Go Wild stamp set has this gorgeous little Mason Jar and flowers on it, but always seemed too small to small to be a main feature on a card, but I had an opportunity to play with it over the Christmas break and came up with this card.

Starting with a base card of Bazzill Premium Kraft, I added Java and then Kaisercraft papers.  I used My Favorite Things Tag and Fishtail dies to add layers to the card.  I stamped 'Happy Birthday' on a scrap of Kraft Card and adhered it to the centre of the card and added Twine vertically to the card.

I stamped the Mason Jar with a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and coloured it with Copic Markers - E40, E41, E43, BG10, B00, B02, Y15, Y17, E35, E37, YG63, YG67, B18, B23, B32, V15, V17, R20, R22, R27 and R39.

I cut the ovals using My Favorite Things Stitched Ovals dies and distressed the edges.  These ovals were then adhered to the card using mounting tape.

This stamp set is available on our website - https://michellescardsandstamps.com.au/products-page/power-poppy/power-poppy-clear-stamp-go-wild/

Hope you have a great weekend.

Enjoy Today

Hi Everyone

This image just looks so relaxing.

Using Kaisercraft's Paradisco Collection paper P1380 Sunsets, I used this jetty scene to create this lovely card.

I started with Bazzill Lily White and layered with Typhyoon card followed by the jetty scene.

The words 'enjoy today' are from Penny Black's stamp set 'Sweet Wishes' (30-104).

The Magnolia girls I used are Bikini Tilda and Hula Hula Tilda which I coloured with Copic Markers - E00, E11, R20, E35, YR23, Y21, G24, G28, R27, R46, E43, E47 and E49.

Have a lovely day and

Kaisercraft - Scrapping Organiser

Hi Everyone

I love playing with Kaisercraft products and the Scrapping Organiser was just calling me.
I painted all surfaces black and covered the timber and drawer with the Kaisercraft 75 Cents Collection papers.
I have some paper kits available at the Brisbane Craft Show using these papers and others, if you would like one, stop by and grab one.  I'll have some more kits available on the website next week.

Kaisercraft Butterfly Tower

Hi Everyone

I've continued to play with some of the new Kaisercraft range and here's my Tower Storage unit.

The unit, of course, is called Tower Storage and is code SB2174.  The papers are from the Enchanted Garden range.

I covered the unit and trays with Black Kaisercraft paint.

On the sides, using the Charm paper (P1219), I created a top and bottom section 7cm deep and then edged it with a thin strip of Bazzill Beetle Black.  I then adhered the sheet of the Glitter Specialty Paper - Fly PS292 (glitter butterfly paper) and sanded the edges back to the timber.

On the top, I used the Charm paper again and sanded back.

On the drawers, before assembling them, I adhered a piece of the 'Fly' paper and cut around the half circle.  I then assembled the boxes by gluing up the sides and holding them until they dry.... due to the number of drawers, find a good TV show to watch before starting this step.

Assemble the Tower and then add a little black around the edges - just a tip as it removes any white edges when you sanded back the edges and insert the drawers.

I hope you enjoy making this and if you would like the supplies, drop by our website and you can buy the timber and paper kit under Card Kits. http://michellescardsandstamps.com.au/?wpsc_product_category=card-kits

Hi Everyone

Over the past couple of weeks I have been playing with the Kaisercraft Advent Calender.

I painted the Calender with a mix of Raw Umber and Black paint (I like the brown a little darker).

The papers I used are from the Twig and Berry paper range.  The numbers are also from this release and I covered each with Glossy Accents.

Welcome Baby Boy

Hi Everyone
The My Favorite Things Onesie Stamp and Die set is great for making great baby cards and are not necessarily for boys or girls.  Last month I showed you a baby girl card, so this time it's the boy's turn.

I have layered the card on Bazzill Lily White, Bluebell and Lemon and the stars (also from My Favorite Things Dienamics) from Bazzill Amber, Sunshine and Chiffon.

All of the paper edges have been distressed using the Tonic Distresser.

The Onesie has been cut out of Bazzill Lily White and Bluebell and then trimmed to form the outfit.

The dotted background paper is from Kaisercraft.

But why...so I can organise some fantastic kits for sale at the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo.

Kaisercraft Craft Caddy

Hi Everyone
I have been playing with the Kaisercraft Craft Caddy (SB2161) for the past couple of weeks, doing a little here and there.  I have now finally finished it.

I liked the Paris Shadowbox I did with the green card and Darkroom Door Photochips, etc, so I continued that theme but this time changed it to the Viva La Flora range.

I started by painting all surfaces with two coats of Kaisercraft Black paint and followed by Kaisercraft Gloss allowing each coat to dry fully in between.

I have used Bazzill Ivy, Leapfrog and Aloe Vera.  I have stamped the card with Darkroom Door's French Script using Distress Ink pad Forest Moss and blended the edges with Forest Moss.  Each piece of card has been cut to the same size as the piece it is covering but distressed the edges before adhereing it.

I have accented the caddy with Photochips and Montage pictures from the Darkroom Door Viva La Flora range, black grosgrain ribbon and Sizzix Elegant Flourishes cut out from black Bazzill and covered with Glossy Accents.

Butterflies

Hi Everyone

I have to admit, I'm not such a fan of 'Orange' and the Tigerlilly Collection of papers from Kaisercraft didn't excite me that much - until I came across the butterflies specialty paper (PS195).

This paper is thicker than the normal double sided paper and has butterflies all over it and they have been glossed.

I created this card using 7 of the butterflies which I cut out and adhered to Bazzill Lily White, Marmalade and Beetle Back card.  I smudged the edges of the Lily White with Distress Ink pad - Spun Sugar and the stamp the words from Darkroom Door String Sentiments.  I only adhered the body of the butterflies to the card and left the wings so they could be lifted when they are dry.

Kaisercraft - Memo Board

Hi Everyone

On Saturday's Kaisercraft Play Date, I had lots of fun and made two projects. Here's my second project - the Kaisercraft Memo Board.

I started by painted the timber in Metallic Gold, then covered it with Basic Grey's 'Pucker Up' paper from the Kissing Booth range.

After sanding off the edges (and all the swirls) I adhered it together and added Romance card behind the Memo pad.

Add the hooks, 3 Mulberry flowers and rhinestone silver.

Kaisercraft Play Date - My First Project

Hi Everyone

We definately had fun on Saturday during our Kaisercraft Play Date.  We started at 9am with Tara being the last to leave around 4pm meant that there were lots of projects being completed.

Here's my first project - the Kaisercraft Desk Caddy.

I painted the box using dark brown paint (a mix of Burnt Umber and a little Black) and used the Basic Grey - Kissing Booth range of papers to cover the box.

After sanding off the edges and assembling the caddy, I attached flages from My Favorite Things - Dienamics, ribbon, rhinesones and Creampuff card around the top.  I added flourishes from Sizzix and lastly the heart from Sizzix Heart Wings cut from chipboard, coloured with brown paint and then Glossy Accents.

Tilda's on Bracket Frame

Hi Everyone

While I was on the Darkroom Door Stamping Cruise I created this picture using a Kaisercraft Bracket Frame.

I painted the frame with a mix of Kaisercraft Red and Hot Pink paint and then covered the front with Bazzill Creampuff card and background with Blue Jean.

I have used a mix of new and not as newish Tilda's including:
Dot Butterflies
Tilda with Daisy
Tilda with Peony Tails
Explorer Tilda
Tilda with Ponytail
Watercan Tilda

The background has - Mushrooms with Snail and Welcome To A Lovely Home.
I coloured the images using Copic Pens - E00, E11, E31, E35, E37, R02, R05, R27, B02, B05, B24.  I have also added some grass cut out from My Favorite Things - Grass from Bazzill Leapfrog and Ivy card stock.

Before adhering the front of the frame to the back, I threaded through some white stain ribbon so that it is ready to hang on a wall.

2012 Stamp Cruise - 3 sleeps to go

Hi Everyone

I wanted to make something special to store my pens, scissors, etc in while I was on the Stamp Cruise, so I jazzed up a Kaisercraft Pencil Caddy with the Darkroom Door Garden Inchies.

I have painted the caddy with Kaisercraft Olive paint and layered up using Pinecone and Creampuff card.  I have stamped the Garden Inchies on Yes Paper and coloured them using Copic pens (E31, E35, E37, G21, G24, G28, YR23 and Y21).  Each image is two layers glued on top of each other, to add dimension and then once they are adhered to the Creampuff card I covered them with Glossy Accents.

Allow each side to dry before you turn to the next side so that the Glossy Accents dries evenly.
