Calendar Project - August 2018

Hi Everyone

Morning and welcome to August.

For our calendar page this month, I have used Power Poppy's - Dahlia XL stamp set.

The card base is Bazzill Ivy, Guacamole, Pear and the Colour Copy 200gsm card.

I stamped the Dahlia and Leaves on separate paper and cut them out.

The Leaves were coloured with Copic Markers YG61, YG63 and YG67.

The Dahlia was coloured with Copic Markers R20, R22, R27 and R39.  

The word 'August' was coloured Gold using Prima Marketing - Metallique Wax in Vintage Gold.

July Calender Project

Hi Everyone

July is upon us, along with the cool days of Winter (bring on Summer!!!).

Time for another calendar page - this time featuring Altenew's Wildflower Garden stamp set.

This page starts with a base of Bazzill Dotted Swiss Rip Tide, followed by Glow and Romance card.  The Romance card is edged with Copic Marker RV34 to make it a little darker.

On the Colour Copy paper, I stamped the leaves from the set using the Altenew - Forest Glades ink pad. 

Next it's time to start stamping the flowers.  For this, I used Warm Sunshine, Turquoise and Puffy Heart ink pads from Altenew.

The centre of the flowers were stamped with Rocky Shore and Mocha ink pads and a little Wink of Stella swirled through the centre.

I added some accents to the flowers with Copic Marker B05, YR12 and R34.

Lastly, I added the word 'July' to the page, coloured with Copic Markers RV34.

Calendar Project - April 2018

Hi Everyone

Happy Easter!!  We hope the Easter Bunny found you last night and left you a yummy treat.

As today is also the 1st April, it's time to release our April calendar page.

This page starts with Bazzill Dotted Swiss Grape Jelly and Glow cardstock and then a layer of Colour Copy 200gsm card.

The stamps are from the very whimsical company - Whipper Snapper and include Benson (MY780) and Lil Easter Basket (NY857) which was stamped twice.

Before colouring the main images, I traced around the images with Copic Markers B00 and B000 so that they didn't look flat on the paper.

Now it's time to colour these lovely stamps using Copic Markers - Y11, Y35, Y38, YR68, B000, B00, B02, B05, V12, V15, V17, RV52, RV55, YG11, YG06 and YG09.

Calendar Project - March 2018

Hi Everyone

March has arrived along with Autumn.  With the incredible heats of Summer that we have experienced, Autumn is a welcome season.

Today our calendar features Autumnal colours using the My Favorite Things - Layered Leaves die set.

I started with a base of Bazzill Lily White and covered it with Antique Linen Distress Paint and then added layered of Orange and Smoky card.

The Layered Leaves come in three sizes and each set has a solid base and then a top layer with just skeleton of the leaf.

I cheated when cutting out the leaves and put double sided tape on the card, making them easier to adhere together.

After they are together, I blended Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Seedless Preserves, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy and Gathered Twig Distress Ink Pads (phew, just a couple of inks).

After assembling the leaves on the page, I added the calendar page and 'March' which was coloured with Antique Linen Distress Paint.

Calendar Project: January 2018

Dear Friends

Happy New Year - We hope 2018 is a fantastic year for your all!!

Here's our calendar for January - a re-boot of one of our calendars that was in our December 2016 class.

This calendar starts with a base of Bazzill Lily White, followed by Stardream Silver, Gold Foil and Bazzill Beetle Black.

Over the Beetle Black,  I stamped the Fireworks from the Darkroom Door set - Celebration (DDRS158) in Versamark and then dusted over the top with Perfect Pearls in Clear, Sunflower Gold, Pewter and Berry Twist.  The Perfect Pearls create a fantastic background and overlapping them makes them look more realistic.

I then stamped the Champagne glasses and embossed them with WOW Gold Pearl Embossing Powder and coloured with Copic Markers - YR23 and Y21.  I then tipped a little Sunflower Gold Perfect Pearls on a Non-Stick Craft Sheet, sprayed a little water and covered the glasses with gold shimmer.

I coloured Scrap Matts 'January' with Tarnished Brass Distress Paint and added them to the page.  Lastly I added the '2018', cut from Gold Foil card with the My Favorite Things Numbers Die-namics die set.
