Calendar Project: September 2018

Hi Everyone

We are back from Melbourne and ready to welcome Spring.

It's time for another calendar page and this time have used the Stampendous stamp set - Cornflower (CRS5104).

I started with a base card of Bazzill Guacamole which I coloured Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint Distress Crayon.

I then added a pale yellow card and coloured Mustard Seed and Rusty Hinge Distress Crayon over it.

The top layer is Creampuff and added Walnut Stain and Antique Linen Distress Crayon which I then blended over the page.  I also Distressed the edges of the card.

Now it's time to stamp the Cornflowers and Leaves which I did on Colour Copy 200gsm card using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

I then coloured the Leaves with Copic Markers YG61, YG63 and YG67.  The centre of the flowers were coloured with E31, E35, E37 and E79.  Next it's time to colour the flowers, the yellow flowers were coloured with Y11, Y15, Y17, YR23 and E35.  The orange flowers were coloured with YR12, YR16, YR18 and E35.

I coloured 'September' with Fired Brick Distress Paint and adhered it to the calendar page.

Hoping you have a wonderful September.

Zinnia

Hi Everyone

The Zinnia flower from Stampendous always looks so big and bright, I love colouring it as you can make it anything you like and it's not a complicated image to colour.

I this card, I started with a base of Bazzill Sunbeam followed by Lily White and Colour Copy card which I have blended Distress Ink Pads - Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon over.

Before adhering the blue paper to the page, I stamped Hero Arts Looped Flower (CG504) with a Mermaid Lagoon ink pad and the words Happy Birthday from Darkroom Doors' Brushed Sentiments set (DDRS161) with an Archival Jet Black ink pad.

Next step was to stamp 3 Zinnia flowers on Colour Copy paper using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.  I cut out the flowers and coloured them with Copic Markers Y21, YR18, YR24, E15 and E18.  I adhered two Zinnia's to the card and mounted the third image up with mounting tape.

In the centre of the little flowers, I added a dot of clear Stickles to add some sparkle.

Bella with Dahlia

Hi Everyone

The Wild Rose Studio stamp range has been really popular since we bought them in and I'd love to share this card with you.

Starting with Bazzill cards Thunder, Stormy and Petalsoft, I created this card.  On the Petalsoft card, I stamped the Stampendous Floral Tapestry (CRR217) using an Archival Watering Can ink pad.  The beauty of using the Watering Can ink pad, as it is a grey colour, it doesn't dominate as a ink pad like a black would, but also not a watermark ink pad.

The words are from Heartfelt Creations - Classic Message (HCPC3354) and was stamped in Archival Jet Black.

Now for Bella - on HP Colour LaserJet Paper, stamp Bella using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.  Colour with Copic Markers and mount up on the card as shown.

Copic Markers C0, C3, C5, C7, YG09, Y38, YR07, R000, R20 and R22.

Wild Rose

Hi Everyone

Here's another Stampendous stamp that caught my eye - Wild Rose (CRR191).

This is a really easy card and one that could sit in your Card Box, ready for any occasion.

Start with a Bazzill Dotted Swiss Sandbox card and layer with Leapfrog card.

On 2 pieces of HP Colour LaserJet paper, stamp the Wild Rose image.

On the first piece, trim to fix on the Leapfrog card but before you adhere it to the card, blend over the image with Distress Ink Pad - Antique Linen and then around the edges with Distress Ink Pad - Brushed Corduroy.  Colour with Copic Markers and tie some May Arts ribbons and then adhere to the front of your card.

On the second image, just colour the 2 roses with Copic Markers and mount up on the front of the card.

Copic Markers G94, G99, RV52, RV55 and R39.

You Mean So Much To Me

Hi Everyone

This Stampendous stamp (Bowl Bouquet CRR199) is a lovely group of flowers which could be used for so many reasons.

This card starts with a Bazzill Leapfrog and then Aloe Vera card and then I added Kaisercraft's Base Coat III paper - Shabby Chic.

I stamped 3 sets of the Bowl Bouquet on HP Colour LaserJet Paper using a Memento Ink pad and colour with Copic Markers.

The first layer is the full image and the second image is the 2 roses and the third image is the larger rose on the right.

Once you have adhered the image to the lower left of your card, stamp the words 'You Mean So Much To Me' from Heartfelt Creations - Moments With You (HCPC3568) with Archival Jet Black.

Copic Markers: E59, E47, E41, E43, E35, YG63, YG67, YR23, Y21, B000, B00, RV52, RV55 and RV34

It's Your Day To Celebrate

Hi Everyone

This is My Favorite Things Dienamic Die 'Fresh Cut Flowers' which they bought out late last year.

This die set has a lot of little pieces and comes one a magnet sheet to keep them together.

So, now for my card, starting with a Bazzill Guacamole square card, I added layers of Sweetheart, Kraft and Creampuff which I had stamped Stampendous' Floral Tapestry with an Archival Coffee ink pad.

I then cut a die from Nestabilities Die - Label 16 (S4301) from Kraft card and also stamped the Floral Tapestry on it.  I then added words from Hero Arts set CG611.

Next, we need to start on the flowers, this set has so many possibilities, bunch of roses, bunch daisies, gerberas, mixes and so much more.  It's really fun to play with.

I cut the stems and leaves from the Bazzill Guacamole card and then the flowers from Sweetheart, Petunia and Creampuff.  I grouped the stems together and tied a little twine around them and adhered them to the card with Glossy Accents.

At the top of each of the stems, I added a flower head and a couple of extra leaves where needed.

Lastly, I covered the Creampuff centres with Glossy Accents and tipped Distress Dry Glitter in the colour 'Clear Rock Candy' on top and allowed to dry.

Cottage Rose

Hi Everyone

Today is my last Stampendous Jumbo card - well, at least for this week.

Today's stamp is the Cottage Rose Jumbo Stamp CRS5034 is gorgeous.

My card base is Bazzill Leapfrog and then layered with Pomegranate, Creampuff and lastly Fawn Card.

On the Fawn Card, I stamped the Hero Arts Looped Flower stamp with Versamark and embossed it with Pearl Gold embossing powder.  I then blended around the edges with Distress Ink pad - Brushed Corduroy.

The tab at the top is Fawn card, edged with a little Peeled Paint Distress Ink pad and stamped with the words from Penny Black's Special Wishes stamp set 30-229.

For the Cottage Rose, I stamped two images on HP Colour Laser Jet paper using Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured the main image with Copic Markers R20, R22, R14, R29, YG63, YG67, E15 and E37.  I used a craft knife for the delicate cutting and then scissors for the rest and then adhered it to the front of the card.

On the second image, we are only using the main flower, so I coloured it with the Copic Markers, cut out the flower and mounted it with mounting tape.

I think this is my favourite card this month - I hope you like it.

Spider Mum - Card 2

Hi Everyone

I'm back with my second 'Spider Mum' card, following my theme this week of Stampendous Jumbo Stamps.

This card starts with a base of Bazzill Pear which I stamped Darkroom Door's French Script with Distress Ink Pad - Peeled Paint.  I then added some words to the lower right from Penny Black's Special Wishes stamp set 30-229.

On some Bazzill Lily White, I stamped the Spider Mum and the stem and using a craft knife, cut away two-thirds of the image.  I coloured the stem of this piece with Copic Markers YG63 and YG67.

On a piece of HP Colour Laser Jet Paper, I stamped the Spider Mum again using Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copic Markers R81, R83, R85, RV69, YR23 and E15.

I then cut out the flower head and adhere it to the front of the card.

Spider Mum

Hi Everyone

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and all the Mum's had a special day yesterday.

This week I'm focused on the Stampendous Jumbo stamps which I absolutely love as I'm a sucker for colouring and these stamps give me plenty of opportunity to pull out the Copic Markers and 'go to town'.

Today I'm starting with the Spider Mum stamp set CRS5064.  My card base is Bazzill Lily White followed by Pinecone and then HP Colour Laser Paper.

Firstly, I stamped the Spider Mum and stem (these are separate in the set so you can place the stem wherever you want) using Memento Tuxedo Black.  I then coloured the flower with Copic Markers BG23, BG15, BG09 and BG49.  The Stem is YG63 and YG67 and the centre of the flower is YR23 and E15.

The stamp set comes with a mask, so I masked the flower and stamped the Darkroom Door French Script in Distress Ink Pad Wild Honey and then blended some Peacock Feathers and Brushed Corduroy around the edges.

I finished the card with a little ribbon and I'm done.

Don't forget that the Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo is fast approaching on the 7-9 June at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.  We look fowrad to seeing you all there.
