Calendar Project - December 2014

Hi Everyone

Here's our last calendar project for the year and it's Cheryl's last page.

Cheryl started with a base of Bazzill Ivy and then layered Juneberry on top with watercolour paper.

Cheryl then stamped the Stampers Anonymous - Christmas Blueprints #2 and Mini Blueprints #5 on watercolour paper and coloured them with Distress Markers Festive Berries, Peeled Paint and Wild Honey.

Happy Stamping (and it's time to start your Advent Calendars).

Calendar Project - November 2014

Hi Everyone

Here is Cheryl's second calendar page for this year - November 2014.

Starting with a base of Beetle Black, Cheryl layered with Stardream Gold, Lily White and more Beetle Black.

Cheryl created the flower layers by blending Distress Ink Pads - Ripe Persimmon and Wild Honey over white card  and then stamped Stampers Anonymous Papillion (CMS106) stamp set using Versamark and dusting Perfect Pearls Sunflower over the top.

Cheryl then stamped the flowers (Hero Arts Wildflower Garden - CG170) with an Archival Jet Black ink pad.

Hi Everyone

Here is Cheryl's first calendar project for this year, a lovely cupcake creation.

Here Cheryl has started with a Bazzill Leapfrog base and followed with a Pansy (her favourite) and then watercolour paper.

Cheryl has used Magnolia's Kitchen Tilda and Love Muffin and then Mini Magnolia Love Muffin and stamped them on watercolour paper.

Cheryl coloured the images with Distress Markers Dusty Concord, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed and Peeled Paint.  The icing on the cake has been glittered with Kindy Glitz.

Calendar Project 2014 - September

Hi Everyone

Phew, where did August go.  This month I started a new full time job and I have been flat out getting up to speed with it - apologies for the lack of posts in August.

Here we have the last of Linda's calendar pages.  Linda loves using Mirror board and the back card and decorative corner.

The Blue card is Bazzill and Linda stamped the Heartfelt Creations -Sun Kissed Fleur Swirls (HCPC3537) and added some extra layers. The images were embossed with Silver embossing powder and coloured with some touches of Copic Markers.

The decorative corners are from Heartfelt Creations - HCD729 Decorative Blossom Corner Die, cut from the mirror board.

August 2014 Calendar Project

Hi Everyone

Today is the 1st August and the last month of Winter in Australia - thank goodness - bring on Spring.

August continues Linda's calendar page with this blue and silver themed page.

Linda created 7 squares and rectangles and covered them in different shades of blue and edged each with Versamark and embossed with silver embossing powder.

Linda stamped flowers, butterflies and background stamps on the squares and rectangles and added embellishments like ribbon and pearls.

Linda then placed the squares and rectangles on a white card base which has also been edged in silver.

1 July - WOW, where has the year gone

Hi Everyone

Today is the 1st of July, so it's time for another calendar post.

We now move onto the creations from Linda who created this Japanese inspired page using papers that she purchased during her trip to Japan.

Using La-La Land Crafts stamp - Kimono Marci, Linda stamped her with a Memento ink pad and coloured her with Copic Markers.  She then stamped Marci again on some Japanese paper and embossed with Gold embossing powder and adhered this on top of Marci.

Calendar Project - June 2014

Hi Everyone

Welcome to June and our first month of Winter.  I have to admit, I'm not a fan of the cooler months but living in Brisbane, we can hardly complain.

Here is Jennifer's 3rd calendar page - June 2014.  Using the Graphic 45 lady and colouring with Distress Markers and Distress Ink Pads, she created this lovely page.  The hearts across the bottom are from Penny Black die - Heart String.

1st February

Hi Everyone

It's now February and I get to share my February Calendar page.

February being the month of Valentine's Day, I stuck with the theme colour of red and roses.

Many of you know that I LOVE Darkroom Door's Bright Blossoms Vol 2 stamp set (DDRS108), particularly the rose image.

Here I stamped it 3 times on 300gsm Watercolour paper using Distress Ink Pad - Fired Brick and gently blended the colour was a waterbrush.

This is a really simple technique but really effective.  It is particularly easy when you do it with Watercolour paper.  The thickness is really important, so look for a 300gsm.

The calendar page has a base of Bazzill Dotted Swiss - Pepper, followed by Pinecone and Creampuff.  On the Creampuff, I stamped the Darkroom Door Postcards background stamp with Versamark and blended Perfect Pearls - Plum over it.  The letters for 'February' were cut with my Cricut and the 3 roses adhere the to the top with the middle on mounted up.

Happy New Year!!!

Hi Everyone

Welcome to 2014!!  I can't believe how fast 2013 went and I'm sure 2014 will be just as fast.

My friends Cheryl, Linda, Jennifer and I will be completing our Calendar Project again this year where we each decorate 3 months of a calendar and give each other a copy.  We rotate who does what months, so in 2013, I had October-December so in 2014 I get January-March.

The calendars are 18x18cm and are a lot of fun to work on as a group (and a little easier than having to make 12 pages).

Here's my January contribution.  I focused on the fact that it's Summer in Australia and created this little beach scene.

The base card is Bazzill Typhoon followed by Rope Swing and then HP Colour LaserJet Paper where I coloured it with Distress Stains - Tumbled Glass and Scattered Straw.

On the HP Colour LaserJet Paper, I stamped the Magnolia Rubber Stamps 'Vintage Swedish Coast Cottage' and coloured with Copic Markers B93, B95, B99, E41, E43, E47, E49, R27, R46, R59.

Now, the little girls - again I have used Magnolia Rubber Stamps and here I have Bikini Tilda and Hula Hula Tilda.  I also coloured these girls with Copic Markers E00, E11, R20, E35, YR23, Y21, G24, G28, R27, R46, B93 and B95.

The letters 'January' was cut from my Cricut.
