Red, Red Roses

 Hi Everyone
I hope everyone had a fantastic week and is ready for an even better weekend.  This weekend we have back-to-back classes so I'll have my hands full.

Seeing this week was Valentines Day, I thought I would share this card with you.  It isn't necessarily a Valentines card, it could be a birthday, Mother's Day or just a general card.

This card was inspired by a card Jenny Webster made while on the stamping cruise, so thanks Jenny for the inspiration.

This card was made using the Darkroom Door Roses photostamp and was stamped onto Yes paper using an Archival Jet Black ink pad.  I have used a white wax crayon to highlight areas of the roses and then using Distress Inks and a blending tool, coloured the whole image with Victorian Velvet and then around the edges with Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany and lastly Walnut Stain.

After you have finished colouring the paper, use a paper towel to buff the wax crayon areas to remove any excess ink.

The words are from a Hero Arts word set and the flowers are from Mulberry Street Roses.

Happy Stamping
Michelle

PS. Don't forget about our Darkroom Door (tin) sale, they are going fast and at $25 (incl Ezi-mount) they are a great buy.
